Go on this day from Ouarzazate to Tinfou Dunes beyond Zagora. Travel over the Anti-Atlas Mountains, across the Tizi’n-Tinififft Pass, and through Berber villages. Drive off-road through the huge palm tree fields of the Dra’a Valley, along fortified Kasbahs and via green oases. This Tinfou Dunes day trip begins by a morning departure in a 4×4 air-conditioned car from your hotel or riad in Ouarzazate to Dra’a Valley and the Tinfou Dunes, crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the pass of Tizi-n-Tinfifite.
Along the road, there will be stops at panoramic viewpoints to take photos, to admire the unlimited palm trees groves of Dra’a Valley, and to stretch our legs.
After a tea break at the town of Agdz, we drive off-track via Dra’a Valley through palm trees groves, past adobe-built Kasbahs, and green oases. Here, you can take a walk through the green fields of Dra’a Valley before your scheduled visit to Kasbah Tamnougalte with a local guide.
Our desert day trip continues south as far as Zagora and the Tinfou Dunes. After a welcoming glass of traditional tea and Moroccan cookies, you can enjoy a walk in the warm sand dunes, practice sandboarding, and experience an hour camel ride around the Tinfou Dunes.
