Experience camel trekking in the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi, admire the spectacle of the sunset from the summit of the dunes, and take photos of your party wearing nomad turbans. Dine under a sky full of stars, dance to Berber music and drumming, followed by a magical stay in a comfortable tent in a desert camp at the foot of the wind-blown dunes in Merzouga.
Hike in the admirably high Toudgha Gorges and explore the Dades Valley full of Kasbahs and Berber villages. Drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs and stop at the beautiful Valley of the Roses, explore Skoura Oasis full of palm trees.
Visit Kasbah Amredhil and tour its small museum. Visit Morocco’s most famous Kasbahs, Ait Ben Haddou and Telouet. Cross the High Atlas Mountains and the famous pass of Tizi-n-Tichka to arrive at Marrakech.

1st day: Fes – Merzouga:
Kick-off your 3 day Fes to Marrakech desert tour After breakfast in your riad in Fes, you will be picked up by your driver/guide in a 4×4 air-conditioned car. You will stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, famous for its sloping roofs to deal with the yearly snowfall. Here, there are plenty of opportunities to take photos.
Driving further south, near Azrou, you can get a glimpse of the Barbary apes in the oak and the cedar forests. Our journey continues driving over the Middle Atlas Mountains to arrive at Midelt which will be the venue for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will drive through Errachidia and along the beautiful Ziz Valley, which offers plenty of panoramic views. The drive continues to Erg Chebbi dunes passing by Erfoud, home to many fossil artifacts exhibits which you could visit.
Having arrived in Erg Chebbi dunes and after a relaxing glass of mint tea, an hour to an hour and a half camel ride is scheduled to take you for a tour around the captivating dunes that stretch as far as you can see.
Later at night, dinner is served under a starlit sky, followed by a small party of Berber music and drumming around a campfire and an overnight sleep in your private nomad tent near the big dunes.
2nd day: Merzouga – Dades Valley
Early in the morning, a camel ride leads to the summit of the dunes, where you can witness the spectacle of the sunrise.
After breakfast, our journey continues with a scenic drive along many Berber villages; Rissani, Erfoud, and Tinghir, where you will stop for a walk in the Toudgha Gorges to explore its green gardens, magnificent palmeraie fields, and old ruins blending perfectly with the scenery.
After lunch, we will continue to Dades Valley, with a stop to photograph the monkey feet, an amazing rock formation, drive through the curvy road of Dades Gorges, portrayed in many travel flyers as one of the most beautiful pieces of roads, before arriving at the hotel at the edge of the valley. Here, enjoy dinner and occasionally a musical play.
3rd day: Dades Valley – Marrakech
After breakfast, we drive along the Valley of the Roses to Kel’aa M’gouna, where you can visit the organic cosmetic products co-operatives and learn how the locals make rose-scented perfumes from the fragrant flowers of the valley.
The journey continues via the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, to Skoura Oasis, famous for its date palm trees and the beautifully restored Kasbah Amredhil, which you will visit.
After a short drive, we arrive at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a film location for many Hollywood blockbusters; including “The Gladiator”, “Lawrence of Arabia” and the famous TV series “Game of Thrones”.
After lunch in one of the many restaurants by the riverbank, a visit with a local guide is scheduled for the Kasbah to learn about its rich history.
From here, we continue our adventure via the Ounila Valley to Kasbah Telouet, which you will visit. In the afternoon, we will cross the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass and arrive at Marrakech, which will mark the end of your 3 day Fes to Marrakech desert tour.
